LSU Favored Over Florida In Game Three Of College World Series

CWS 2023 betting odds

Despite losing 24-4 in game two of the series and squeaking out a win in game one, the LSU Tigers are favored to win game three of the 2023 College Baseball World Series.

College Baseball has only had the three-game World Series for the past twenty years (2003), and since then only reached the third game of the series ten times. However, the series tends to favor the game two winners.

Only three teams who have lost the second game of the series have ever gone on to win the World Series. Rice lost the second game in 2003 and went on to win it all, LSU lost the second game in 2009 and went on to win it all, and Vanderbilt lost the second game in 2014 and went on to win the World Series in game three.

Game One Of The College World Series

Game one was among the most competitive college baseball games I have ever seen. It was back in a fourth effort by both teams with several home runs and good old baseball.

LSU’s ace Ty Floyd put on a pitching clinic striking out 17 out of 24 batters in eight innings. Floyd’s performance tied the record for the most strikeouts in the College Baseball World Series in nine innings or under. The only other pitcher to ever get those kinds of numbers was Ed Bane in 1972 when he pitched for Arizona State.

Despite the excellent pitching from Floyd, LSU still had to fend off the Gators in a matchup that ended in the 11th inning with a home run in the top of the inning. Below are the 2023 College Baseball World Series highlights from game one.

Game Two Of The World Series

Game two of the College World Series started well but ended ugly. Initially, the competition was competitive, but then Florida broke away and unloaded on the Tigers.

Inning three is where it all began for the route. The Gators went into the inning down by a run, but after a two-out grand slam, the Gators left the inning with a substantial lead. From there on out, it was all Gators en route to a 24-4 finish. Below are the highlights from game two of the series.

Where To Bet On The College Baseball World Series

Game three is Monday, June 26th, and is scheduled to begin at 6 pm EST. Offshore sportsbooks in the United States are the best option for betting on the College World Series as they offer game lines, futures, and in some cases, props for the event.

The offshore sportsbook sites we recommend all accept players from the states and various other countries, but you follow state or other local laws that might restrict access to their site. While online sportsbooks will gladly accept your wagers, there could be a risk of trouble if you violate state laws in place.

See our offshore state betting guide to learn more about state laws and what is allowed.

Major Offshore Casino Site Stops Accepting Players From Select States

Published

on

Bovada not available

Roulette iconBovada, the online casino and sportsbook, has announced that it will no longer accept new accounts from Michigan, Connecticut, Colorado, D.C., Delaware, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and West Virginia.

Bovada only recently excluded Michigan, Colorado, and Connecticut; the other states were already on the not-accepted list. This announcement comes after several states sent the trusted offshore site a cease-and-desist letter after claiming a loss of revenue for their state-licensed sportsbooks.

While Bovada could fight for access to those players, it would be easier for the site outside the US to comply instead of facing a lengthy court battle. In the past, other states have also sent letters for operators to quit accepting their client pool. States like Nevada, New Jersey, and New York were among the first to fight to retain their player pool.

Bovada has been operating legally online since 2011 when it was spurred from Bodog to target US players. Today, Bovada is still one of the most trusted online casinos available to US players and a major provider for many Americans who don’t live in states that authorize online casinos and sports betting.

Online Gambling Options For Bovada Banned States

Despite Bovada backtracking and accepting fewer players today than when they first launched, there are still plenty of legitimate offshore gambling options for all 50 states. The US States that allow offshore betting are still the majority, as Bovada is only one of several legitimate operators.

Other lesser-known casino and sportsbook operators like BetOnline, BetUS, and MyBookie have slipped under the radar and can still service Bovada-restricted states. Since there are no gambling laws that specifically make online gambling illegal, it is left for each state to decide what their residents can access online. To our knowledge, no state has passed a law banning online gambling from offshore sites. For now, only a few states are sending cease and desist letters to try to retain some players who have grown accustomed to offshore services.

Will My Bovada Account Get Locked If They Stop Accepting Players From My State?

No, Bovada will let you keep your online account and withdraw funds if you live in a recently banned state. However, you will likely not be allowed to further participate in the games found online as the site is geofenced.

San Francisco 49ers Ink New Offshore Casino Deal

San Francisco 49ers in Mexico

NFL logoThe San Francisco 49ers have made history with their recent announcement of a groundbreaking offshore casino partnership, marking the first international sports betting deal for an NFL team.

Ryan Connors, Senior Director of Global Sales and Strategy for the San Francisco 49ers, stated, “This enhanced relationship gives our Spanish-speaking and Mexico-based Faithful a lot to look forward to this season through new and engaging content, both in-person and online.”

The partnership will allow the use of official 49ers logos in the sportsbook and allow the casino to host events related to the team. Last year, numerous events were to attract 49ers fans, aka “Faithful,” during the 49erteam’s post-season. The 49ers made it to Super Bowl LVIII, where they lost 25-22 against the Kansas City Chiefs. This partnership not only expands the 49ers’ global reach but also provides unique experiences for their fans, such as exclusive events and content.

Domestic Sportsbook Expansion

Since the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) was overturned in 2018 by a Supreme Court decision, states have authorized sports betting services to operate from their jurisdiction. According to the American Gaming Association, 38 continental states offer legal sportsbooks. Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico have also authorized sports betting, and several more states are legalizing domestic sports betting.

Domestic online sports betting is legal in 30 states but often reserved for players over 21. While many states require players to jump through hoops to bet on sports online, each state has its own regulations players must abide by before placing an online wager.

Personal Experience With Offshore Sportsbooks

In addition to the numerous U.S. betting states, U.S. players have offshore sports betting options from trusted gambling regions worldwide. Offshore sportsbooks like Bovada and BetOnline have accepted U.S. players since the early 2000s and have perfected the trade with prop builder tools, in-game wagers, and odds boosters. These offshore options often provide a wider range of betting options and competitive odds, making them a popular choice for many players.

For many players, offshore football betting sites are not just an option but a preferred choice.  While I like having a drink and placing a wager at my local sportsbook, I typically find better odds online and enjoy watching the games I have laid action on in my personal space or with friends.

While I have multiple online sports betting accounts, my main source is Bovada, a platform that allows Bitcoin gambling deposits and offers fast payouts. It’s important to note that I don’t rely on my bets to pay out because I understand the risks involved. Instead, I see betting as a way to enhance the game and sometimes fund my weekend experiences.

Las Vegas Sands Lobbying For Five Casino Destinations In Texas

Published

on

LV Sands Casino

A lobbyist from the Las Vegas Sands Corporation is pushing to get casino legislation passed in Texas as they would like to add five TX destinations in the future.

Last week, city leaders in North Texas met with Las Vegas Sands Corporation partners to gain support for new legislation that could bring domestic casinos to the state. The North Texas Commission and the Texas Association of Business assembled the meeting.

Sands’ lobbyist Andy Abboud said that Sands would eventually seek two Dallas-Ft Worth casino locations and at least five destinations in Texas. Abboud said that casinos don’t need to be on every corner and that too many locations could diminish the investment. He said that casinos should be like major league teams and only in a few select areas of the state.

The Las Vegas Sands Corporation, currently owned by billionaire Miriam Adelson, has been a major player in the push for Texas casinos in recent years. Adelson and other key figures have spent millions lobbying for the cause. Sands has taken significant steps towards this goal, including purchasing 108 acres across from the old Dallas Cowboys stadium, positioning themselves to act swiftly if legislation passes.

Are Online Casinos Legal In Texas?

There are no state or federal gambling laws that explicitly make offshore betting sites legal or illegal in the state of Texas. Therefore, players can wager online at casinos, sports, or poker gambling sites. However, it’s important to note that the state does not have domestic casinos or online casinos authorized and regulated by the state, but there are a few tribal casinos.

What Online Betting Options Can TX Players Access?

Roulette iconTexans have the freedom to enjoy all forms of online gambling, from casino games to sports betting, poker apps, online bingo, and more. The variety of options, including live dealer games like blackjack, roulette, and baccarat, ensures that every player can find their favorite games.

Online betting sites ask their players to follow local ordinances and laws but do not vet every player who signs up. However, players must confirm their identity and age before issuing a payout.

Will Texas Permit Domestic Casinos In The Future?

While there is no guarantee, likely, Texas will eventually open its doors to in-person casino gambling. Even though Texas has long fought illegal gambling, the revenue it can produce is substantial and could benefit the state in numerous ways. However, it’s important to consider the potential social and economic drawbacks, such as increased gambling addiction and possible negative impacts on existing businesses.

Legislation to allow domestic casinos has repeatedly failed in the state. However, it will likely be seriously considered with influential figures such as Mark Cuban and the Adelsons now determined to change the law.
